In the age of COVID, civil unrest, political tension, and mass shootings, restoring and maintaining our mental fitness is more important than ever. Leathalminds, LLC offers evidence-based and customized mental fitness training for First Responders, Public Safety, Military Members, Veterans, Employers, Mental Health Clinicians, and community members. We also offer consultation services for organizations establishing or re assessing their Mental Fitness or Crisis Response program for their employees, and for municipalities developing Behavioral Health Critical Incident Response Plans.    Most services can be provided virtually and in person.  Contact us to learn more.

Mental Health First Aid

A skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.  Appropriate for employers, employees, clinicians, first responders, teachers, and general community members.

First Responders/Public Safety

Mental fitness, critical incident stress management, and customized training for first responders and public safety.  Trainings are appropriate for Fire, EMS, 911 Dispatchers, Coroner Investigators, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Marshals, Crime Scene Analysts and all other First Responder and Public Safety employees (sworn and civilian).

Military/Veterans

Regardless of the type of discharge, separating from the military can create significant mental health challenges for service members and their families.  Leathalminds offers training curriculums that address reintegration, suicide, substance use, and much more.  These trainings are appropriate for Active Duty, Veterans, Family members, Clinicians, and anyone working with service members and veterans.

Employers

Workplace mental fitness has been overlooked for a very long time.  The effects of COVID 19 brought the mental health of employees into the fore front.  The employer curriculums discuss ways to integrate back to a face to face workplace, as well as how to recognize and intervene with employees who may be experiencing mental health challenges or a mental health crisis.  These curriculums are suitable for anyone in a workplace environment as well as general community members.

Municipalities

In a nation where mass casualty events are becoming the norm, it is critical to have a crisis response plan that includes meeting the psychological needs of your community.   Contact us to find out more about how we can help.

Clinicians

Leathalminds offers Mental Health First Aid, an NASW approved CEU course, as well as courses designed for clinicians interested in developing cultural competence when working with Fire/EMS, Public Safety, Military, and Veterans.  Contact us to learn more.
